Course Duration:
One year full time or two years part time. This course aims to enhance the qualifications and career prospects of existing childcare practitioners. Successful completion of the FETAC Level 5 award may also lead into further studies at Institutes of Technology Universities.

• Arts & Crafts for Children
• Special Needs Assisting Skills
• Early Childhood Education
• Work Experience
• Working in Childcare

A First Aid Certificate may also be achieved during the course.

Entry Requirements:
Participants must be currently working within the childcare field or be willing to undertake one day work experience each week within a childcare setting. Entry may be subject to interview/assesment and/or Garda clearance.
