New Ross Vocational College

On arrival in first year the transition from primary to second level education is made easier for students by members of our school's Meitheal Team. Sixth year students, who act as mentors, undergo extensive training to help the first years cope in their new school environment. They identify with the students and are an accessible support for the new student. The school chaplain and guidance counsellor oversee this programme. The transition is also facilitated by the Home School Liaison Office.
