General Info

At New Ross Vocational College, we seek to provide each of our students with an Education for life, valuing and respecting them as individuals, developing their self esteem and encouraging them to develop their individual abilities to their full potential in a caring and orderly environment.

Aims

  • To enable pupils to acquire the basic skills of literacy, oracy and numeracy and to stimulate their curiosity and imagination.


  • To enable them to acquire the basic knowledge, practical skills and reasoning powers to prepare them for the ever changing world of work.


  • To develop the sense of morality and social justice enabling them to become responsible members of the school and of the wider community.


  • To recognise the individual worth and capacity of every pupil and to provide all pupils with an equal opportunity to reach their full potential.


  • To educate all pupils in a holistic way, including preparing them for Department of Education examinations - Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied.


New Ross Vocational is under the auspices of Co. Wexford Vocational Education Committee.
The Chief Executive Officer is Ms Clare McMahon.
The College is financed by Co. Wexford Vocational Education Committee, ensuring that every student has equal opportunity to the education proveided by the College. There is no family contribution.
